The AIS Development Group was the recipient of the most prestigious award for software process, the 1999 IEEE/Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Award for Software Process Achievement. AIS was acknowledged for "exceptional work in applying and tailoring the principles of continuous process improvement to enhance quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction, as well as institutionalizing process improvement in the development of software and the provision of consulting, training, and the infrastructure-support services." Former winners include NASA, Hughes Aircraft, and Raytheon.
